Our Current Teaching Series
Joseph: Overcoming Evil With Good
The story of Joseph is filled with abusive treatment and neglect. People who Joseph trusted brought deep pain into his life. Praise the Lord Joseph realized that God sovereignly overcomes evil with good and calls His people to do the same! Let us all allow the lessons of Joseph’s life to change ours.

Forgotten, But Not Forsaken
Our lives are so often filled with a series of ups and downs. While God gives us ongoing reminders of His presence, His purposes often remain a mystery. His allowance of negative treatment by others seems to make no sense to us. These frustrations, which are experienced by believers in our day, are reflected in the story of Joseph. May God encourage us, as we navigate His providential ways in Genesis 40.

Opposition & Betrayal
We sure make a mess of things as humans don’t we?! Right now, as I type there is an infamous court case going on regarding sexual ethics and what the word “consent” means. We have documentaries being released about Pastors using power and prestige to manipulate and distort truth rather than standing as a bastion for it. We have a news story about a worship leader who was convicted for killing his wife so he could be with someone else. How broken. How sad and enraging. How perverse. We need Jesus now more than ever.
So how are we called to respond as Christians? How did Joseph respond when his world was turned upside down because he stood for what was right rather than give in to sexual impropriety?

Grace In The Mess: When God Redeems A Broken Story
Genesis 38 is an uncomfortable chapter. It interrupts the story of Joseph with failure, grief, broken promises, deception, hypocrisy, and a family in crisis. Yet Scripture does not hide the mess. God tells the truth about His people—not to glorify their sin, but to magnify His grace. This chapter asks a searching question: What does God do when His people make a wreck of things? The answer is that He confronts sin, hears the cause of the vulnerable, awakens repentance, and keeps His promise.

Hatred At Home
Our families of origin play an important role in our formation. Unfortunately, growing up in dysfunctional homes is all too common in our day. Some people seem to allow this fact to dominate their lives and to become an excuse for not maturing. Others are disillusioned with God because He did not intervene in the situation. As we begin our series in the life of Joseph from Genesis 37, we will find that his family was completely dysfunctional and filled with hatred and jealousy. We will also find that Joseph’s Sovereign God was up to something, even as he experienced deep emotional pain and confusion. May God use Joseph’s story to shape our own story.
Sermon Archive
We are all drawn to the Psalms because they speak powerfully to our human experience with God in all seasons of life. When we can’t find the words to the trouble or the joy in our soul, the psalms often express in words the deep-seated experience of our souls. We hope that you can join us as we explore a selection of psalms in this teaching series.
Did you know that about 1/3 of Jesus’ teaching was in the form of parables? Whether we are young or old, we love the stories which are told by Jesus, because they are so engaging. We will be exploring together parables which are unique to Luke’s Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be covering topics including the wonder of Jesus’ saving grace, the problem of self-righteousness, the pursuit of God above everything else, a passion to love the lost, the centrality of prayer, stewardship of our possessions, and the importance of focusing on the coming of Christ. May God’s Spirit use God’s Word to make us more like God’s Son.
