Does God Create Evil?

Charles Templeton, who at one time was a world-renowned evangelist with the Billy Graham Association but then suddenly abandoned his belief in God, writes in his book, Farewell to God:  “If there is a loving God, why does he permit—much less create—earthquakes, droughts, floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters which kill thousands of innocent men, women, and children every year? How can a loving, omnipotent God permit—much less create—encephalitis, cerebral palsy, brain cancer, leprosy, Alzheimer’s and other incurable illnesses to afflict millions of men, women, and children, most of whom are decent people?”  How indeed!   Join us this Sunday as we wrestle with these questions, not just to satisfy our intellectual curiosity, biut also to provide a firm foundation upon which we can stand when tragedy and evil strikes us or someone we love!
